    Hey Chad,

    These are typically lower elevation cut blocks. It can vary a bit year to year here on Vancouver Island where I hunt. It really starts to pick up around the second week of May but always hear of a few taken in April. My personal earliest kill was April 6th and the majority I shoot are the last week of April-first week of May. See way more bears mid may-mid June but it gets hot/ buggy and more people.

    Good info Ron, I hunt north of you on POW and I’ve always liked last part of May, into June. No bugs up there which is surprising and nice. I drew spring of 2023, so a year to go.

    Glad to see you’re having fun already. Vancouver Island sounds like a blast.
