Nope and have no intention to. I've not eaten weasel or skunk either.
Moorhen are much better than Diver Ducks, Goose and Coot IMO.
Really good breasted out, pounded, battered and fried.
LOL!!! No, I'm not gonna try a skunk either.

Lots of things that just look bad to me that would likely surprise me, probably not skunk. :)

First time getting him out in this country. We managed to knock a couple down. Didn’t think to take pictures of the birds until I had already breasted them. He’s getting up there at 11 but he loved it as he always does.
for me "trophy hunting" is hunting *in* trophy country, not hunting *for* trophy critters.
And that terrain looks amazing!
terroir makes the animal, and the hunt.

This is a tough spot without a dog.
I could definitely hit the trap range as well.

I'm a sucker for quail. They are just such beautiful birds, that also tend to behave nicely for the dog, and that are tasty enough to slap your grandma's hand in order to snatch that last piece in the dish at Sunday dinner.
