Love everything about Mtn Quail except how I have to hunt them. Road hunt them. It sucks. My area is way too big steep and brushy to get off the road with a dog. I put 30-40 miles on truck. Find coveys in road. They scatter. Park truck, unload dog, get off road. Flush a few. Get back in truck, drive to next covey.

I’m sorry, it’s brutal every time. She’s my first GSP and she’s been a solid hunting partner and pet. The mrs loves her demeanor.
