2014 Ruby Mountain bowhunt

what a great hunt..and a fantastic write up. You had me hooked all the way! congratulations on your deer..he was well earned.

Congrats, great pics and story. You went into one of the busiest trail heads in the Rubies. My very first trip was in the same area and I saw lots of hunters. It paid off though, thanks for sharing.

Awesome job and great write up. You went through the whole process of getting to know a new area and finding the deer. That's a tough environment to do it in...I know as I was there too.

Added: I re-read this and really looked at the photos...man you really did some walking! You were straddling both sides of the mountain and hunting from "on-high" with some major trips down into the drainage's....lots of work! I wore myself out just camping in one drainage and going over into the next to hunt everyday, without the big vertical over the top. My hat is off to you!

..I saw your truck at the trailhead I think...Ram 2500 with Cougar plates?

Jason great write-up and I really enjoyed the photos you posted. Congrats on the hard earned buck!

What equipment would you change, add or leave for the next trip?
