What a write up! I had to read half before work this morning and just now finished the other half. I truly enjoyed it

Congrats on a great hunt

Jason great write-up and I really enjoyed the photos you posted. Congrats on the hard earned buck!

What equipment would you change, add or leave for the next trip?

You know, for gear I think I had it pretty well dialed in. My list was as follows:

Crispi Idaho boots (in hindsight I should have worn my Lowas, which would have been a little more supportive for the heavy pack out)
Sitka Ascent pants - absolutely love them
Sitka 1/4 zip Core T - love it
Sitka Jetstream vest - love it, although a down vest would be lighter and more compressible
North Face holofill coat - nice coat, would eventually like to upgrade to an 850 down
Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 - very good tent, would eventually like to upgrade to one with a side vestibule
Marmot Sawtooth +20 bag - does the job, would eventually like to upgrade
Big Agnes IAC - very serviceable
Snow Peak stove - very serviceable
Leupold Gold Ring 25x scope with Slik Sprint Mini tripod - could have a little better clarity, but did a very good job
Zeiss Classic 10x40 binos - excellent glass
Bowtech Experience - absolutely love it
Komperdell trekking poles - would eventually like to upgrade to carbon cam-lock poles
Katadyn Hiker Pro - love it
TAG bags - love them
Mystery Ranch Metcalf with Oneiros Valley stay extenders and Power Pulls - absolutely love this pack, although I do need to order a Mean Lumbar Pad. I got a little chafing from the pack rocking around on the way out

The only gripe I had equipment wise is my Crooked Horn bino harness. I am going to order a FHF bino holder and get the range finder pouch for it. Several times I dumped my pack, only to have to take my range finder off of my pack and hang it from my neck. That was annoying. I want to be able to dump my pack and go, yet still have my range finder on me. Also, I don't like how the binos dangle and hit stuff when I'm crawling.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I didn't have that I wished I would have, and I can't think of anything I took but did not use.

Great hunt truly impressed you really earned it. Bought the FHF harnes, range, and GPS pouch this year running them all tied together. Love it great piece of gear.
