    Colorado group app

It's super easy. Enter the group leader first. For one app, indicate he's the group leader when it asks about applying in a group. For the other say you're applying as a group but not the group leader and put in the group leader's CID.

    Colorado game processor

If you're using Steve's Meat Market, make sure you make an appointment online vs just showing up. The reservation slots fill up quickly which can really complicate dropping meat off. The reservation system really threw me through a loop the first year I just showed up after they implemented...

When was your first year hunting OTC Elk in Colorado?

    1985 or 1986, Rifle.

    CPW screwing Residents yet again….

It doesn't seem like anything has been decided. It'll be decided by the Commission so I'm not going to get aggravated (yet). -Banking, I'd prefer No. Preference Point Creep is a bigger issue to me. I'd rather people use their points. -PP Averaging, Hell No. I could see a lot of ways to...

    Colorado elk units OTC/limited discussion

4th seasons was supposed to be for trophy Deer hunting, so Elk hunting was limited so the Deer hunters had a better experience. 1st Season was supposed to be for trophy Elk hunting, meaning fewer hunters out there during that season. It seems like they've kind of gone away from that a bit...

    Gas can rant…

Blame California... Every time I use one of the CARB compliant gas cans I spill more gas than I ever did with the old ones. Hard to use. They're aggravating.

    Keep hunting?

I consider my tag filled and will detach my carcass tag. I'll help others with valid tags after that but my rifle, muzzleloader, or bow will stay at camp. I take losing game really hard. I'm glad it's a very rare occurrence.

NY to Colorado with Glock 20 for cat/bear protection while bow hunting

Colorado has a magazine limit of 15 rounds. Normal Glock 20 mags or 10 rounders should be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Remington 700 SS Mountain Rifle experiences and thoughts.

I have one in 280 and it's accurate for about 3 or 4 shots but after that that groups open up. I think the barrel heats up really quickly with the pencil thin barrel (it cools quickly too though). When I sight it in, I usually take another rifle and shoot a few with the Mountain SS and then...

Moose, Sheep, and Goat: Analyzing the Bonus Point System, By Dr. Michael Street

When Colorado implemented their system, it was supposed to mimic having extra applications in the draw without actually putting in extra applications. The CO draw couldn't handle adding multiple applications per applicant apparently. I was told a mathematician said the CO Bonus Point system...

    Opinions on Weatherby Vanguard

I really like my Vanguard. I can shoot it really well. It's the most accurate rifle I own.

Do you hunt clean or dirty?

Definitely dirty. Like others have said, I may wipe off the outside of the rifle but I only clean the bore when I feel like I have to (accuracy starts to degrade)

    Covid Booster

I did fine with shot 1 and 2 (Pfizer). Shot 3 (Moderna) kicked my butt the next day. I had a fever, chills and just felt like crap. I felt back to normal the day after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Kids ADHD and weight loss. . .

My son gets really hungry before bedtime which is when his medication wears off. He'll eat a lot during that time. We give him a little bit of ice cream before bedtime just so he'll have a healthy. It's pretty much ice cream and then onto brushing his teeth right before bed. Anyway, that's...

    How was Colorado 1st rifle?

Last year was definitely better that's for sure. The snow wasn't bad in my area but there weren't the number of Elk around like last year.

CPW seeks input, allocation of licenses

They tried to enforce it on non-consumptive users but gave up once they had a few complaints. The worst part of the habitat stamp, hunters pay it and the state uses the money for Fishers Peak State Wildlife Area and then they manage it for non-hunting recreation. Hunters also get screwed on...

CPW seeks input, allocation of licenses

Bull moose harvest is already once in a lifetime. I don't think there are too many people drawing multiple tags, and I'd imagine even fewer are drawing multiple without harvesting. I wish they would go once in a lifetime on Ram and Goat harvest.

Survey - Will the CPW system crash today for Leftovers?

The Leftover List went from 29 pages to 13 pretty quickly. They must have sold a lot of licenses.
