I would shoot 3 to get a group with a minimum of around a min between those 3 shots, then let cool. adjust scope then shoot another group till zeroed. obviously if you're 3 ft high you don't need to shoot 3 there, as 1 shot will...
i have that exact gun and tried rl19 with less than stellar results. I probably could have got it to shoot better than i did, but I had 17. I couldn't get the 185 vld's to shoot at mag length, but the hybrids are showing potential. I am using 178 amax and rl17 now because it is so stinking...
I went with 5 pin ascent. white 2" ring. color is personal preference. either ring would be fine. a smaller ring may allow you to dial down a tiny bit more before having fletching contact with really long shots..??
what twist barrel do you have? I'm not sure you'll be able to stabilize the 215's or 230's unless you have a 1/10" twist. That's what I've been using on my recent 300 RUM builds, as my old 1/12" wouldn't cut it with the heavy bullets. You may be able to load them to mag length if you're barrel...
cool video. didn't seem overly harassing to me..? he could have got a lot closer, and chased them, but he was panned off to the side just filming. how do you think shows like planet earth are made?
i use my 65mm swaro on 60x all the time in cooler weather, and love it! when mirage kicks up really bad it doesn't matter if you're at 30x or 60x it just doesn't work real great. can't speak to the vortex as I haven't used them
