Kind of on the same note, I’ve been looking at the jugs of n150 and 550 in my stash wondering if I could make something with them. Anybody have velocity/charge weights for any of the mag length 73/75/77s with these?
Entertainment mostly, but also just to have options. I am currently shooting the 75 and 88 Eld-ms pretty good, but I’m always watching for a good deal and like to have 3 or 4 options for everything
Anybody tried it yet? If so, any pointers? Specially what coal would fit without hitting the lands? How much (preferably percentage) did you or did you not reduce your powder charge for the reduced coal? Velocity?
Trying to get some pointers before I dive off in the rabbit hole blindly
I think my top charge weight was 28.5 with an AR. I didn’t have a chronograph at the time, but it was just a little slower than the load I had with Staball 6.5. After reading that I want to re-shoot those loads with chronograph to see
So I recently changed guns. Went from an off the shelf AR with a rifle length gas and plain, non-adjustable GB to a home built, carbine length gas with AGB and a heavy buffer. Both 16 in, 8twist barrel. I shot the new gun with a regular and heavy buffer.
The old set up would start tearing up...
Looking for .357 (and some 38 special) brass and dies. I might buy, but would rather trade.
I could trade:
- 223 brass 1x fired (have a couple of decent sized lots of same-name brand brass)
- 308 brass, have a little bit of LC military brass i could trade
- 30-06 brass
