@ACHILLES you think I can use my 65grendel bushing die along with appropriate bushing in the 22acr like I had been with my old 22 grendel? They appear mostly the same comparing saami 22arc chamber VS my 22grendel.

If I could find a 12”-ish barrel my 6.5 Grendel would become a 22 ARC fa sho. Patiently waiting

Post velocities if you get one please. I’ve been wanting to switch out my 6.5 Grendel barrel also.

They’ve been out of stock for weeks, I’m signed up for notifications. Shaw has a 12” in stock but I like the KAC price better. Still may just order a Shaw next week.

I’m not sure. I would try it and see if I could but I only have a FL die for my 6.5 Grendel.

But from looking at the Sammi drawings I don’t see an issue unless the necks came out to thick.

I need to neck down a pc of Grendel brass and see what the neck thickness ends up at

I think they'll be too thick with starline 65g, they're 0.0145-0.015, would be around 253-254 loaded, believe saami 22arc is 254nk. I was just referring to the ability to use my Wilson 6.5g bushing die with say a 245 or 246 bushing to size 22arc brass. I have a bunch of 65gr brass, unfortunately I'd have to neck turn it all, don't want do that for a gasser.

Not saying your results won’t differ, but all of my 22ARC brass is necked down 6.5G starline/hornady and it works great with no neck turning

Just necked down a pc of Hornady 6.5 Grendel in one step, Neck thickness is .0155”
Hornady 22arc neck thickness is .0135”

Formed it in my rifle then resized it and shot again with no issues. But other chambers may have less clearance.

Neck on a loaded factory 22arc round is .248”

With the 6.5 Grendel brass neck down, a loaded round measures .250

If Starline is starting out at .0145-015” it might be too thick after being necked down. I have Starline brass also but havnt looked at it yet.

Thanks for the info fellas. I'll reach out to craddock and get some reamer specs.

I don’t use a bushing die. I bought a regular Hornady 22ARC FL sizing die and it’s a single pass neck down and expand with 22 cal mandrel.

Easy peasy, and I don’t like Hornady dies.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of their dies either. What brass are you using? I've heard that the Hornady 22arc brass has pretty thin necks and the Hornady FL die/expander button only gives around 001 neck tension, which in my opinion isn't enough for a gas gun.

I’ve had so much fun shooting my 22CM this weekend that I had to order a Gen 2 Ranch 22 ARC today so that I don’t burn my barrel up in a few weeks on the CM!

That’s pretty much the same reason I got mine. So I didn’t burn up my 22CM before hunting season. I’ve had the ruger for almost a month and put close to 500 rounds through it.

From experience with a 22grendel you will get 3300 from a 62 grain obviously depending on barrel, but I ran multiple 22 grendel barrels with 64 tgk and 69 tmk and you will have no issue running a 62 at or over 3300
I just found some 64 TGK for my 22 bolt gun. I also have a lot of 69 TmK’s. What powder were you using for the 64’s?

I've been having a great time messing around with the 22 ARC so far and have a couple bolt rifle builds in the works. Here is the full video breakdown of killing a moose with it this year:
I read your article today coincidentally… very cool.
