I feel like I saw some where in this thread where you can order a hunter stock from kimber? Looking for one for my classic select for certain hunts. Any advice is appreciated!

Hunter Keating. HK hounds. One of the best houndsmen I've ever seen. His finished dog's are likely double your budget though.

I did butcher block in my own house but have installed laminate, epoxy and poured concrete.
They all have their places. I'm surprised at the comment about concrete not being a very good top. It formed, poured and finished very easily for a high end look.
Butcher block is soft but it's so darn...
I witnessed a bull killed at 690 with one that started at the muzzle at 2590... took 3 rounds but he didn't take a step and the first one would have done it. Take that for what it's worth with such a small sample size. The far side hide caught 2 and one exited.

I used to live in Greybull. Was always surprised they rarely trekked across the basin considering the high densities in the absarokas. Is only a matter of time.

Does anyone have some of these studies that show raptor mortality via hunter killed game containing lead? I just can't wrap my head around that hunter killed deer, with lead, have much of an effect on that. The bird would have to find the hunter killed carcass, eat the entrance and exit wound...
I'm glad we are all on the same page. Such a great cartridge. In a Tikka platform I
It's really hard to beat. Ill take it over a saum any day. Decent brass availability, abundance of bullets, easy to find loads for and moderate recoil.

Another guy on here is getting 2925 with his.
Really I cant see a reason to use a 7 mag for an extra 100 fps and 15 more grains of powder. I will say those eldms are very splashing at close distances. I've shot a big mule deer and elk inside 100 yards through the neck and didn't get an exit on...
Way faster than I care to admit! Fastest 284 I've seen any where online and I cant explain why. It was originally a 7/08 throated for 180 eldms and then rechambered to 284. Im running 55 grains of h4350 at 3005 fps with zero pressure signs. Obviously work up to that load. I belive its 1.5 grains...
Pretty cool experience and place they have. and that part of the bob has some of the better hunting as far as the bob goes.

I took a chance on this for much cheaper than the other options and absolutely love it.

Pictured is mine loaded out with kill kit, possibles pouch, heavy gloves, puffy, head lamp, inreach, go pro, jet boil, mtn house and some other...
I'm with you on all of that. Kind of surprised by everyone's reaction on it. And that comes from another Baldwin hater.

I think we can all agree we could do absolutely nothing to the season structure and just eliminate doe tags and would see an improvement.
How are managers so retarded to even put this survey out? It's absolutely obvious. Take a drive on the custer from 2017-2022 during November and you would...
