    i think i'm going to throw the top from a small solar yard light in the bag. i'm planning on hanging it near the tent so it might make it easier to find coming back after dark. could also bring it in for a little light in the tent. worth a try for 3-4 bucks.

    hunting/gun dogs

    i've had GSP's, a Lab, a Chessie, and now am running a Boykin. The Lab (out of wildrose kennels) was by far the best dog ive ever had but tjis Boykin is shaping up to be close 2nd and having a dog that weighs 35# and barely sheds has huge advantages. i wish i'd discovered the breed earlier.

    since your talking about getting an entirely new bow (different limbs and riser) go ahead and get rid of what you have, order something that has a reputation for not stacking at your draw length and get back to practicing. Where are you at in Mi? i'm from Gaylord originally.

    I have used back quivers for the past 12 years or so and now with starting backpack hunting it just makes sense to switching to a bow mounted quiver. My longbow is snakeskin backed so i'd rather not use a slide on selway (the only one i have experience with) Anyone used the great northern quiver?
