ZeroTech TRACE ADV 3-18×44 FFP Shoot2Hunt

Well you "independently" test scopes....so I'm suggesting I'd like to see someone with a little less direct association run these and see how they perform.

Anyone who got in line to preorder is already predisposed to love it as they have sent their own money on it, it's just human nature.

I'm sure they will be tested by independent folks so it's nothing to get worked up over. I was just asking if anything official was lined up. Man you guys get super worked up if anyone so much as challenges you. I'd say that's where outsiders suggest the cult/follower mentality on Rokslide.

This is not really a good thread for this topic, as the focus is on the new scope. If you want to imply impropiety in the testing of this or other products, I'd start a new thread.

But I'll throw my .02 in while I'm here.

I think the reaction comes from the fact that Form/S2H/Rokslide in general gained popularity because they were brand agnostic and just wanted stuff that worked as claimed. Now that they are helping develop and bring to market new products that do work as claimed, they are being accused of impropriety largely by the same community that refused to believe the information that some very popular products in the hunting community are junk and should have the opposite reputation than they currently do. For instance, if their tests were junk why did NF send NX6s over for testing before release? It's not like there wasn't a HUGE thread on here about the new scope that would've given NF a heads up that a competing product would be entering the market this year; yet in spite of that...

Why don't you buy one, do your own tests on it, prove it works or doesn't work as claimed, and show us you know how to shoot as well as you can type on the forum? Claiming anyone is a shill for the product just because they pre-ordered a product is pretty ridiculous. There is a whole group of us that pre-ordered 6x45 barrels for specific rifle builds that made the manufacturer get a new reamer and recut around 30 new barrels for free.

Who would be more appropriate to test a thing than the person who made the test for the thing? Who in the world is testing scopes to the extremes that Form has been testing them to? I don't see people getting worked up until you (and others) start talking mad trash about things your obviously have no knowledge of just so you can make a name for yourself as the edgy new guy. Do better.

Jay

That was talking mad trash?!? I suggested someone not directly involved in the project do some testing and report back.

This is why I said you guys are worked up. This is a high level of defensive.

I don't have a suggestion for who should test it. Didn't think I was the one who needed to come to the table with that but here we are. Crazy thing is I like the scope and the reticle and would probably buy one. I'm just waiting for some reviews and for it to be available as I don't buy anything I have to wait for. Simmer down folks.

The problem is, even with people trying to do it right, you can see shifts. I personally have had to shuffle “known” scopes back into stocks/rings and sort out issues in the rifle/rings/stock.

How many YouTubers /industry people are gonna drop it in a Savage 95 with Talley rings (or whatever unproofed system) and say it shifted?

Some of you get spun up like this is your adopted child.

When these scopes are actually released, I am sure there will be plenty of people who actually abuse and "test" them. Comes with the territory of claiming "it will hold zero thru drops." How many scopes get "tested" publicly before they are even released? Majority of the time it's just Shills, trying to drum up interest prior to release.

You asked for something that didn't exist... it was asked who, you got kinda chippy about it. Sorry there wasn't some other independent tester that someone here knew of either to provide a solution to the desire you brought up.

Waiting for some reviews until you're confident as a consumer is a perfectly wise thing to do, no one would suggest otherwise.

Form's point is there is no one to send it to. Sure there are guys who do "torture" tests, but that is not relative to a controlled test that aims to beat on, without destroying the scope. That's why you can't name anybody, because there's no one to name.

I guess my point is there is a laid out format that form uses for testing. Maybe, have someone not directly associated to the project independently do that test? Which I'm sure will happen but that will take a purchaser to go out and do it on their own as I haven't gotten a response from anyone that a scope or two would be provided to anyone to independently perform the test.

I really don't think what I'm saying here is out of line.

To my knowledge there are only 3 of the real scopes in existence at this point in time. Those 3 scopes are currently being used hard. I don't think they have a pile of them laying around to send to other people to play with.

To try to keep this thread on track, I will send you a PM.

Which is why I asked if it was planned.

I’d be surprised if several customers didn’t do the test and post the results here.

John

There's a reason I could never work in customer service. I'd tell some of you to either buy the damn scope as it is or shut the hell up and build your own damn product. Never seen so much bitching, moaning and unsolicited advice about a product meant to give folks another competitive option.

They’ll be card telling consumers that it really isn’t advised to do it themselves, with a link to an unedited video of it…. And a QR code of how to do it, along with a step by step process if someone won’t listen- including using a proof scope first to proof the system, otherwise it’s a waste of time. People are going to break their scopes, their mounts, and their rifles.

People don’t listen, and I’m going to laugh.
