There was a time if the US was under a similar invasion it's citizens would be lining up to take up arms to defend ourselves, in the modern day the much shorter line would be distracted by arguing because you didn't get the shiny rifle, the military asked asked your vaccination status, and one protest would begin over the lack of a transgender restroom on the battlefield and another because the flagpole flying the upside down American flag does not have a rainbow flag as well.

I remember not too long ago when those same folks stormed police stations, burned entire city blocks, and occupied parts of a couple major cities for well over a month. They may be bat shit crazy, but I don't think America is as pussy as the Republican zeitgeist wants to think it is.


...plus we're all so fat retreat isn't an option. It's the modern day "burn the boats".

Can't imagine that the US wants Ukraine spilling it's guts about the Biden family. Not intending to make this political, but what has happened is documented history and if history books were unbiased we'd read about a quid pro quo between this admin and Ukraine. It's all a disgusting disaster.

They did because the knew the liberal leaders of those cities tied the police force hands and told them to stand down. trust me if the police and national Gard were left to go after rioters, they would not have been so brave. Their true color would have been on display, YELLOW.

First off, LOADS of admiration and respect for the Ukrainian soldiers and citizens standing and fighting. It is crushing to think they will not have NATO fighting at their side. With all their bravery, they can only hope, at best, to enter a long, nasty guerrilla war with Russia. Russia has only thrown a fraction of their resources at Ukraine.

I have to disagree with some of you saying US citizens would not respond with equal fortitude and conviction. There are many millions ready at the drop of the hat to defend this country. When the first bombs fell on our cities, the reality check would get many more millions join in. Don’t let the polarizing media and politicians fool you. We have much more common ground among us than they want you to believe.

Remember 9/11. the country really came together as one. Lots of young men and women joined the armed forces knowing well what it might mean, and many made the ultimate sacrifice. When to going gets tough, the tough get going.

Not so easy to parse out the facts from propaganda, but information seems to indicate a surprising number of Russian casualties captives. If the documentation is accurate, it would appear that the average sampling of the Russian invasion doesn’t have much motivation. If the Ukrainian footage of destroyed and abandoned soviet armor is accurate, it looks like a lot of archaic equipment. If much or any of this is true, it is potentially exposing the Soviet force as fairly weak in terms of motivation and technology. Perhaps not surprising given their economic state.

But, those 6,000 nukes and the ability for a 2nd strike response, plus the fact that any exchange will likely result in planetary extinction, will keep all of the opposing military players in check on this. The US sure isn’t going to risk a nuclear exchange over Ukraine. It would be difficult to imagine a nuclear response short of a direct and impending nuclear threat to US soil.
