Zeiss Terra?

I have a pair of Meopta Meostar 10 x 42 Binos.
Awesome binos but pretty heavy. Need a second pair in an 8x and lighter weight for Bow hunting in the east.

Also thoughts on 32mm vs. 42mm objective Would be helpful.

Looking at the Zeiss Terra but would love to hear reviews and real world experience.

Also, any recommendations for something in another brand comparable in the $500ish range.

The terra is Chinese made. About 3 years ago we got a pair and returned them the same day. The blue Zeiss logo just fell off when we pulled them out of the box and one of the eye cups wouldn’t stay in place.

I’d stick with the conquests if you go with Zeiss.

I briefly had a pair of the 8x42's. My Meopro HD's are far superior. The Monarch 7's for a light binocular is a solid value.

This helps tremendously. The Meopro was the other option I was considering. Gonna go with that.

Would you choose the Meopros over the Monarch 7’s? I’ve been impressed with the two Meopta products I’ve had.

I picked the Meopro, better build quality and better service than Nikon. The monarch's are lighter and more compact. I don't remember specifics from the view comparison, but I really like the Meopta.

I would also consider the Athlon cronos that cameraland has on special.

I bought a zeiss terra scope when they first came out. I was quite disappointed with the clarity. Sold it.
