I love this! One of my problems every year is being in a little bit of a hurry to punch my tag so I can help my partners. Some have no experience and some have a little but never killed an elk. Counting my outfitting days I can’t remember how many hunters killed their first elk with me. It never gets old!!! But helping personal friends or friends of friends is a blast. One of the things I get a kick out of is listening to them tell other people stories about their hunt. They’ll never forget it. They thought they knew me until they saw me doing what I do in the mountains. Teaching them horse sense is more than half the battle. We have a newb in camp this year.
1st time hunting out west for the 23 year old.
Get him his first elk.
That would be my 20th person to help get their 1st elk
So, my goals are two elk in CO to fill freezer, and then to WY for horns.
You?
