So, what are your goals?

Me, CO cow and either sex tag. I will arrow the first cow I see without a calf unless she's a dinosaur, and will most likely kill any bull over a 4x4. WY, I will hold out for a P&Y class bull until the very end hunting a GEN unit.

So, my goals are two elk in CO to fill freezer, and then to WY for horns.

You?

To kill my first bull! Drew blood with a high shoulder shot in archery season last year, hunting with a rifle this year.

Fill my general tag with a archery branch antlered bull and help my partner fill his with the same. Have 14 full days of hunting to get it done in a new area.

burned 5 points in Colorado. Happy with a fat cow but have glassed up a few 300"+ bulls. Also have a bear tag and a mule deer tag in my pocket. Would love to run into a bear. Have 20 days to do it.

We each drew cow for Northern Nevada. The husband got a bull last year - still have some meat. But with us, it’s all about the food. The antlers are just an added bonus.

Any legal bull OTC Colorado. This will be my first solo hunt and first time hunting Colorado. Had an Alaska archery moose hunt fall thru last month so Colorado was my only option. Good luck to all.

Two bull tags between my buddy and I. I would like to get one down in the two-ish weeks we have. Realistically I would be moderately happy just having a few opportunities. Last year I couldn’t even prove that elk existed.

I’ll have two weeks on a late season NV trophy unit so I’ll be looking for something 350 or better.

Realistically I’d like to fill my archery co tag with a bull. If that success is allowed, I will be a little more selective with my rifle tag. I wish everyone luck, stay safe, shoot straight and have fun!

Spike camping in solo 8-12 miles. Looking forward to phone/media free time, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, eating crap freeze dried meals, putting my sore feet in a cool mountain stream, not running into grizzlies again (for a 4th year in a row!), having a snort of bourbon before bed and hopefully having some close encounters with screaming bulls.

Opening day for me next Thursday in New Mexico. The old man is coming along. That means the most to me… and a 350” bull.

1: Have a great time with old friends.
2: Soak up as much cool mountain air as possible. Note-I live on the coast in NC where the humidity this morning is 92%
3: Return home all in one piece
4: Killing an elk is just gravy on the taters.

My goal is to shoot my first elk. This will be my third archery season and in a general unit. Lots of close encounters the first two seasons but always one small detail away from success. I’ve done all I can to prepare and can’t wait!
