I did get it. Wonder why the data was requested, and if they had to cover the costs to compile it?

It was orginally a FOIA request however after it was denied litigation took place. The court ruled that the gentleman was entitled to the information via FOIA.
His contention is that the draw may not be fair, random ...whatever.

My email is floating around in enough data bases that i am not going to lose any sleep over this

A bad precedent. HSUS tried to do this with imports from Africa a few years ago through FOIA. The request was rejected. The intent was clearly to get addresses to harass hunters although they claimed it was to ensure no laws had been broken (sound familiar?).

someone needs to send this type of info to NM. It will be picked up by the Antis,Hunter info will be posted on public forums and it’ll suck.

I dug into it a bit yesterday. Seems Aubrey Dunn (the former land commissioner) had his contentions with the G&F over fees to allow hunting on state land., among other issues. He claimed he wanted to share information on public land access improvements with hunters. It seems the state has freely given this info to other parties previously (NM BHA chapter chair for one) but didn't want these two gentleman to have it.

I'm curious what the story is on the other fella and how he feels he has been wronged. A google search revealed he is not shy about suing folks.
