SCUMBAGS...can't stand teams that lack humility, Sherman and his ilk are all that is wrong with sports in this country and our youth are soaking it up!
I wish we had more athletes like Tim Duncan and Manu Genobli, portraits in humility.

And btw...well said, JMEZ...I told my wife the same things you said here.

Did you see how humble and gracious the other Seahawks were? Saying the whole team is scumbags for the way one player acts is well I think you know the word that.

the guy feeling the worst today has to be Bostick he admitted his assignment was to block and let Jordy catch the ball on the onside kick. I am a Packers fan I figure any game that keeps me on the edge of my seat for the 4th quarter is a good game regardless of the result. But man the ending just ducked for me.

I understand it's the rules and the game shouldn't have gone to overtime, but I hate the overtime rules.

I have to agree it was a vary bad game on both sides of the ball. I will say that was one of the most exciting 5 min of football I have seen. I cant say the Packers should have won though because after all the turnovers and bad play by the Seahawks the Packers still could not put the game away. I feel like the packers deserved to lose more than the 'Hawks deserved to win. They kept playing with all they had though so maybe they did deserve the win.

Yes, some are decent. I live in northwest Idaho where the Seahawks are wildly popular. And frankly Russell Wilson is a total stud and a fairly humble guy.
But watching most of their players, their outrageous jerk fans...yes, I think "scumbags" sums them up quite nicely, might, in fact, be too kind.

Any of the aforementioned could tell Sherman to stfu and be gracious, alas, never happen. Sherman's schtick destroys the culture among youths who emulate him. He is poison.

I hope they get their asses kicked w/ New England.

You mean the culture where he uses himself as an example of how you can use education to escape a place like Compton? You mean a culture where hard work can get anybody a Stanford degree no matter their roots? You mean a culture where he sets up a bus tour each year for students to visit local colleges so students can figure out the grades they need to acheave and once acheaved how to get financial help? You mean a culture were his HS teammates asked the coach on how best to get their grades up and into collage in an effort to "shut up" Richard?

Or are you talking about the culture of always having your teammates back even when playing lousy and with one arm? The culture of playing thru pain and hardship, no matter the odds, for the simple reason there is still time left on the clock?

Feel free to hate the Hawks because they play badass football until the clock runs out. Us 12's wouldn't have it any other way. But to hate the Hawks because Richard Sherman is a big scary loud black dude with dreadlocks is a wee bit misplaced IMHO :). Especially one day after he showed a warriors heart out there playing with one arm. If only he'd speak like RW using white man cliches and quoting the bible then he'd be ok????

It should be a great Super Bowl. Go Hawks!

Yall better send thank you cards to Green Bay. Seattle didn't win because they made miracle plays, they won because Green Bay flat out choked.

Sliding with 5 minutes left after a pick. Not going for it on 4th down inside seattles 1 twice. Absolutely pathetic by Green Bay. Green Bay never targeted Sherman with his torn ulnar nerve shows how dumb green bays coaches are. Seattle was thoroughly dominated and both teams were undisciplined in their play though at different parts of the game.

Seattle now has Thomas with a dislocated shoulder and Sherman with a torn ulnar nerve (sprained elbow). I am a pats fan and it's going to be a game that I bet is decided by 3 points or less but Seattle can't be complacent. Your 2 studs are hurt and probably won't be 100% which definitely hurts Seattle. And gb dominated Seattle defensively and offensively for 55 minutes.

As a pats fan, I am not cocky nor am I expecting a pats win. I have seen enough football that it's unrealistic to assume any team to win. But Seattle is definitely at a disadvantage with 2 key guys at less then 100%.

Great to play the Hawks in the sb, may the best team win.

That was hands down the worst NFL game I have ever watched.

As soon as the Packers failed to go for it on 4th down at the 1/2 yard line when it was 0-0, I told my wife........"well, I guess GB doesn't want to win today". Turned out I was right.........over, and over, and over again through that game.

I'm not a fan of either team, but gosh what a horrible game.

Exactly

Seattle is pretty humble but Sherman needs to find a better way then last year to display his emotions but I would say Seattle is fairly humble. Great coach, organization and team. But Seattle didn't win because of themselves, they won because of Green Bay choking

Gonna be a great super bowl, but man I don't know who wins. I want the pats and they have played great, Seattle is hurt so it would seem pats should handle Seattle but it's the super bowl.

Just want a unbiased, injury free exciting game for the super bowl.

I would say the culture problem lies within the NFL and it isnt just the thug culture that their players promote. Its the NFL's anti gun agenda that would'nt let an ad from daniel defense air during the super bowl - http://www.gunsandammo.com/politics/nfl-bans-super-bowl-gun-commercial/

The NFL also promotes a ton of other anti freedom agendas which when translated to the culture of America creates a society that knows more about what play the Dallas Cowboys are going to run next than who their US and state Senators are.

Nothing wrong with liking your favorite team but at the and of the day the NFL culture and what it is becoming, is a cancer.

Sherman is a loud-mouthed egotistical scumbag...I couldn't care less from whence he came. You can be his personal apologist all you desire, BB.
"Stanford degree" lol...basket weaving 101. I'd love to take a gander at his class-attendance records.

I'm always amazed how seemingly sane, normal people embrace the worst of modern day sports/society all in the name of 'winning.'

His type are a cultural cancer as Gelton referenced.

Moving on..I've wasted more time thinking/writing about that cretin than I want to...

I think you need to read up a little more about Sherman . Yeah he may be a loudmouth but is also a very caring and generous person.

Didn't mean to start anything controversial---just excited to see the hawks pull it out. And no matter what anyone thinks, they WON. Don't matter how, they were the winner.
GO HAWKS! I think it's gonna be a pretty good superbowl. Maybe by the time the superbowl comes around, Brady can figure out how much air his balls need............

Sort of like the Seahawks but Sherman is one person I hope gets absolutely knocked the f out. Can't stand the way he acts on the field despite reportedly being an intelligent human being. Hoping Brady et al teach him a lesson or two.

Couldn't be happier for Wilson and even like Lynch.
