Wyoming Elk 2026 - Will 6 points guarantee a west region general tag?

Right now a friend is going to share his points, and we would hunt an area I hunted some years back. We will average out at 7. Kinda feel bad for him dumping 10+ years. Maybe throw him a few bills, but Inguess the trade off is a proven area.

Thank you for the offer! That's very generous. We're thinking we're gonna save Wyoming until 2027 being we're due for the general tag in Montana in 2026, and I only have time to do one or the other.

Hunt partner also has 10, I have no suggestions for him other than applying for area x and hope for a random. He's not allowed to apply for a Gen license. Once he draws he'll have to decide if it's sit and wait on a random tag or hunt Cows.
