Would you buy this scope?

Some guys cant take a joke jeepers... They are rifle scopes not life saving devices

Leupolds however could be considered life saving devices depending on which end of the barrel you are on.

A gold ring saved a 180s class muley buck’s life a few years back. Insert laughing and crying emoji

It's America and people are free to do what they want. We have the option to not support someone coming on a forum and then trying to flip stuff on the same forum for a profit. I won't support it and wouldn't do it but can't say the next guy is wrong for it. Not my style but it's really none of my business. I'll use an old proven scope for two years before I over pay and support someone flipping this forums scopes in the free classifieds but the next guy may feel completely different.

Not saying anyone is doing this just speaking in general.

IME wire before shipment is quite common for international shipments.
For sure. I used to import from Europe and it was pretty standard to wire before the shipment. It was always a little stressful turning loose all of your cash and waiting for the product to get to you. CBP sometimes took their sweet time clearing the shipments adding to the wait. Broker fees added to the cost. If I recall any shipment $2K or over in value had to be handled by a broker who interacted with CBP, you couldn’t do it yourself. Under $2K was much simpler, you just waited for the call from the shipper that it was all clear to pick up.

I’ll add that the above is a very simplistic version of what has to be done or what happens when importing goods. There’s a lot involved initially to do it correctly and to stay out of trouble with CBP. If you don’t do it right your goods you’ve payed for can get seized with no recourse to get it back and you lose your money. End of story. So think of some of this and be happy these guys are offering up the product for the price they are asking.

On the podcast there was talk about trying to get the posts moved in towards the center of the reticle more. Did this ever happen? I moved these into 3mil but I'd be cool with them pushed up to 2mil. I know jackshit about reticle design but I am curious what would be optimal for centering your eye on a heads up show on low power. I know the brain is good at finding the center instinctively so I wonder if having all of the posts equal distance apart from the center would make it that much better?

I can see a case where you'd need to hold more than 2 to 3 mils of windage just based on ballistics but even for the well practiced hunter, I think the percentage of shooters that would have adequate practice in the 20mph plus winds is extremely small. I know I would need some very specific practice to be confident at a long range shot with those kinds of winds.

The other thing that caught my eye was that the 5, 6, and 7 dimension are all the same so graphically, the image is a bit misleading on how it shows the stepped nature of the vertical posts for whole mil windage readings past 1mil. I think I like that better as you just count and you don't have another game that your brain is trying to play on you with the different heights if you're actually holding that far on windage.

Just random thoughts I had.

I like that tighter reticle better personally, but I could see people complaining that they want more windage than that. I’m not good enough to use even 1.5 mils of wind call reliably so I would be happy with less.

I think the thicker/taller wind hashes are supposed to almost superimpose a phantom thicker reticle/arrow closer to the center at low power. Haven’t looked through one though, so purely speculation.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that ryan would cancel that order and permanently ban anyone trying to do that.

20 might get the same treatment?
@Ryan Avery and S2H should definitely step in and cancel the entire order and forbid the person from buying any. This is a community of mutual interest and support. Any Pissant behaving in this manner should be banned.

I presold the presale, Ive been pumping the scope and all those guys are not on here and or have the time to sit and monitor for drops.. I do the same for the stock, MKC drops and some others. It started out just helping guys but it got to be enough I started charging finders fees... when Idaho had the old NR system I would have 10+systems in the Q for guys that have real jobs and cant sit around for 12 hours trying to buy a tag..
Either joking or another F***tard.
