Would you buy this scope?

Yea I will buy one of these. Have not put glass on my 6.5 PRC yet and if I do it will only be temporary as this seems ideal for its use case. And I am not in a hurry to bring it in to service.

If there is a future ultralite that will go on a bunch of my guns. I wouldnt even mind something like a 4-8x42 especially if it comes in at or under a pound.

Either way the one they are doing first makes sense and I will order from the first batch if I can.

@Formidilosus @Ryan Avery have you heard how long it takes to receive them after the order is put in? It may not be popular opinion but i would pay for one before they put in the order just so i would have one. I don't want to have to set an alarm and fight a group of dudes trying to buy one. Because I'm sure theres a quite few guys that would buy multiple and they would sell out quick like maven or SWFA.

4-6 months.

Tons of people have expressed the same desire. The issue is “prebuy” at all. The scopes are being made by an outside entity- even if a very good one. S2H has no control over producing or shipping them. Nit only that, they have to be tested when the arrive- what happens if there are issues? People all claim they understand that there may be delays, and their can’t be hard dates, etc, etc, etc- then start whining and pitching fits when real life shows up and those things happen.

My vote would be 40-44 mm obj and 3-12 0r 3-15 0r 4-12 0r 4-16x for mag range.
I agree but I think the 2-8x36 makes more sense to complement the 3-18x44. 3-12 or 4-12 would have too much overlap and probably not enough weight savings to really make it worth it.

Look at the people on the rokstock thread just last week still complaining about stocks they are ordering that are not even late yet.

Pre-buys will just create a headache for them. Getting them on hand and selling out in a day is incredibly simple by comparison.

The scopes won’t be sold until they are meeting the requirements.

And, no- I do not think that the initial order will be large enough to meet demand. Without talking out of turn- they (S2H) have to pay for the scopes on receipt. I highly doubt they are going to order and hope 500 or 1,000 scopes sell quickly.
They should do a presale... :devilish:🤣

Edit, damnit already mentioned and not even with a joke involved.

And this is why we can't have nice things.
I paid on day 1 for a LE Rokstok, and waited until it was delivered. Well until the substitute was delivered. And that one they painted it the wrong colors. Never heard a peep from me. I am happy.

So a new pre pay could go like this:
You pay in full. Sign and have noterized a contract that says, if you one time ask "are we there yet"?
You forfiet all your money, and are permently banned from RS.

Where do I send my letter and $$$?

That’s almost exactly what I suggested to Ryan and Jake.
