The button style zero lock that you see on the Leupold scopes is patented by Leupold unfortunately. That's also why nightforce was only able to put it into one model. Leupold actually sued nightforce for infringement.Yes I would buy this scope. To bring the thread back on track. Please lock the turret if possible, not just zero stop. I mean if your building the perfect hunting scope why not?! The button style turret lock on the atacr 4-16 or the mark 5 would be great. Or like was mentioned before the turret lift style on the razor lht. Backpack hunters will appreciate. Rare to slip a turret unintentionally but it happens. I would love a 2.5-15 or 3-15 though. My 2.5-10x42 leaves alot to be desired past 500 when weather conditions aren’t optimal and an animal might be partially obscured or around other animals. Not to mention at the range shooting smaller targets. I don’t see a 12 being THAT much better in that regard but I’ll take what I can get. 40mm obj would be great to keep the weight down on these $$$ lightweight mountain rifles were all totin around the mountains. Seems like it’s been hard to get 44 obj scopes under the 20 oz mark and I bet most eyes can’t see a difference (brightness) for 95% of daylight hours. Correct me if I’m wrong. I’m sure someone will…
Any update on this?
See shoot & buy?Yes. It’s real. Slightly different specs due to design issues with the required durability and time frame desires (not dramatically different)- but there’s a good chance students at S2H classes this summer will see and shoot prototypes.
See shoot & buy?
Does that mean heavier?Yes. It’s real. Slightly different specs due to design issues with the required durability and time frame desires (not dramatically different)- but there’s a good chance students at S2H classes this summer will see and shoot prototypes.
Does that mean heavier?
A bit. Looks like between 24-26oz. There just ain’t a way around it, with the required design being used.
A little bit heavier is absolutely worth it to me, in exchange for excellent durability and reliability, especially with an excellent reticle and 12x to 15x mag on the high end.

If they did a fixed 8, I bet 20oz or less would be possible…hint hint. A man can dream haha

Can you disclose what the max magnification is on the first model? If the first scope model sells, I imagine the company is going to be open to about anything we want. And a fixed 8x- I want.

Can you say the company?
Figured there must be a reason all the scopes that work weigh what they do.A bit. Looks like between 24-26oz. There just ain’t a way around it, with the required design being used.
