Would you buy this scope?

The button style zero lock that you see on the Leupold scopes is patented by Leupold unfortunately. That's also why nightforce was only able to put it into one model. Leupold actually sued nightforce for infringement.
I have 2 Sig scopes that have push button locking elevation turrets.

I used Zeiss HD5 scopes in the past that had locking windage/elev turrets that you pulled up to unlock, and pushed back down to lock. The ergos on them are awesome and much faster than other designs I've used like the Leupold.

I saw a video from unknown munitions about the rokstock saying they weren't doing presales ever again. My guess after reading this thread is it is going to be an exclusive through them

I'd buy this scope, and I'm probably in the minority, but if it had locking side focus down to 25yds like the old Nikon Monarchs I'd stick it on some rimfires too, provided it isn't 5" wide at the turrets. I had an MOA Maven RS.1 I liked a lot.
Low profile lift to turn elevation with zero stop and capped windage would be great too.

🤷

Figured there must be a reason all the scopes that work weigh what they do.

Yeah, seems they can be a touch lighter in SFP, but that 24-26 seems to be the bottom. I was hoping this scope would come in a little lighter. I think my dream scope for hunting might be what’s being discussed here mostly, only 2-10 or 12 or so, SFP with the reticle trued at 6x (with a detent or something to hit the right spot). This could trim it down a decent amount.

If (When?) this hits the market, gonna be able to get RS1.2's for a great price ... no more "out of stock" on them.

If you’re looking Guidefitter has them or did last week. I got one in yesterday. I see what the hype is about. I really like it what little I’ve used it. I expect I’ll get 2-3 more as funds allow.

I now have replaced all 5 of my scopes with same one. Figure easier to learn to use one, then doesn't matter the rifle I shoot ...

That’s a good idea. Kinda done that with the 3-9hd but then I get the itch to try one of the newer ones like the Maven. And here we are following a thread about another new scope that’s not even available yet….haha. Good stuff.

I was just thinking a bit more...can't someone just bring back the 3-12 Bushnell LRTS? I really wish I had bought a 3-12 instead of the 4.5-18 from Doug. If they had 25 yard parallax I probably would run them on pretty much everything.

Why do all this? What do you get that the Maven RS1.2 doesn't offer? AT 20oz, that would be pretty awesome. or at $1000. At 25 and $1500, it doesn't seem like a substantial competitive advantage. Didn't the Maven do really well in Form's tests? at 26oz, the Maven is heavy. Sure.
I mean this curiously. I seriously don't know, but I know something of how hard it is to make a competitive product like this.
