The 3-9s were in stock for months until they blew them out on black Friday. The 6x are the ones that only last days. That's why I hate when the SWFA recommendation keeps getting repeated. It's unobtainum unless you camp out on the internet.
Hell, I almost qualify as a Rokslide camper and I've never seen one available. I'm dropping MOA ,so I need two scopes to bridge the gap to the S2H release. I'm not dropping Minox coin so yeah I'll keep an eye on classifieds. I plan on picking up a SFP Triji as well.
For the record team: I think this is the first official announcement in this thread who the partner company is.It is ZeroTech. The story is interesting.
And they were used to kill 10 deer today.
LOL, until everyone starts secretly buying the new Talon. At least it wasn't Vortex. Friends don't let friends buy Vortex
Don't even know what that is. I don't pay attention to their products because I won't buy themLOL, until everyone starts secretly buying the new Talon.
Their RF binos I’d argue are different than rifle scopes. Especially when they lifetime warranty the electronics. But again, this is about the S2H scope we want and nothing to do with vortex or anyone elseLOL, until everyone starts secretly buying the new Talon.
I think it’s a great partnership. Gives us Canadians some hope of seeing them up here. For the record team: I think this is the first official announcement in this thread who the partner company is.
(Someone thought I gave it away earlier; I didn't - I was just commenting on how there would be an international market for this scope.)

Considering that LOW builds all of the scopes that already pass the drop test I'd say they have a pretty good handle on it. Like the others, LOW builds what you want, you put your name on it. ZeroTech was already in with LOW, and made the magic happen.Look forward to the back story, or what can be shared, on what the engineers already know about making durable scopes. I get the sense that if you ask for bombproof, they know exactly what elements need special attention.
LOW builds most of them, and dominates the upper end of the list.Considering that LOW buildsall of the scopes that already pass the drop test
I doubt that that will be forthcomingLook forward to the back story, or what can be shared, on what the engineers already know about making durable scopes. I get the sense that if you ask for bombproof, they know exactly what elements need special attention.
FWIW, ZeroTech has a lifetime transferable unconditional warranty too. What's this "we" hivemind perspective? I would love for it to have been Vortex or even better Leupold. Their no-questions-asked-smash-your-scope-and-we'll-send-you-a-new-one-and-a-hat warranty is amazing. Maven also has this type of warranty. Given that LOW is the manufacturer, the only benefit of the retailer will be warranty once it hits production.
Vortex scopes don't hold zero, but most of their other stuff is completely serviceable. Same with Leupold. Seems like at least Vortex is starting to notice the ruggedization demand.

Yes 2 weeks advance payment is no problem. Hell, $100 deposit too.@Ryan Avery @Formidilosus
Thanks for taking on this project and getting these scopes to reality. I know folks took the idea on this thread and ran with it, but some sort of pre order does make sense after listening to the latest podcast. And given the timeline, I wouldn't balk too much at paying full price for the scope when the LOW contract needs to be paid in order for them to leave Japan and waiting 12 to 15 days to have it in hand.
Yes they called this out in the podcast but none of that existing line has this technology. (If I understood Jake correctly).@Formidilosus
Is this the same internals as the zero tech trace advanced? I stumbled upon your drop eval from a few years back and was expecting it to be a pass, but was surprised it didn’t read to be.
Based on how the S2H scope performed I assume it is different but want to confirm.
Thx.
