Would you buy this scope?

Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of keeping the aim long dot, but losing the windage holds for it? I assume it’s to reduce clutter (which I’m for) , but seems like you should just remove it entirely then?

Excited to try one of these. Reticle will take a minute to get used to but shouldn't be bad. Cool that it is really just a 0.2 base but much more usable than others. My only worry is the FOV. That is my one complaint with the 3-18 tenmile. Feels like looking through a toilet paper roll. Part of me wishes it was a 50 MM objective because of it.

I agree wholeheartedly. A genuine “THANK YOU” to those involved. It’s pretty amazing that a couple people just want proper equipment enough to spend time, energy, and resources to bring that item to market. We are for sure fortunate

Ya'll calm down... the biggest thing I have learned is, that no matter how much you test your gag reflex on here you're not getting the cool new stuff any faster... I've tried and tried and tried..

Looks like a nice reticle, especially at lower powers. Honestly wish the center of this reticle was further simplified. There are like 15+ aiming points in the first 1 mil circle of the reticle. For my uses sticking with 0.5 mil sub tensions would have been better (0-500 yard hunting). I can see the utility of the finer marks for wind holds but overall I favor simplicity. Something like this would have been perfect and would be killer in a lower power option like the proposed 2-8. Hats off to everyone involved in the development of this scope and bringing a new option to the table. Interested to see where the final weights come in.

The second initial reticle at the start is the companies choice- for people that want a more standard or common reticle, it should do fine. It more in the style of the Maven RS1.2 SHR mil, Tenmile (not a tree), SWFA MQ, etc. We trying to tweak the design for better ability to bracket on low power.

Honestly wish the center of this reticle was further simplified. There are like 15+ aiming points in the first 1 mil circle of the reticle.

It's not really a problem, in the original design I applied "perception science" and "fovea knowledge" for lack of better words.

Greatly simplified:
Your field of view is large, but only fovea provide acute/sharp vision. Your eye moves and the brain stitches these "sharp tiles" together.

If human field of view is 200-220°, fovea used for aiming is only 1-2° and at some point dimensions outside acute fovea will not "register properly"

When you lock fovea on your aiming point, the rest of the points are simply filtered out by your brain. They don't interfere.

The square was a trajectory/kill gauge, will still register and I had hoped to see that gone in a hunting scope.

It does seem to make a definitive "lead in" for the eye to the aim point, however it only allows for ~1.5mils holdover, and feels like the post may obscure a decent amount of the target in some cases. Is there some logic that any more holdover and it becomes hard to align the wind holds without an xmas tree? Or that +/-1mil is enough hold over/under, and you ought to dial beyond that?

Overall looks amazing and appreciate all the thought and experience put into this design.

The bottom post becomes the aiming point in very low light, close range, fast shooting. You aim at heart or low lungs and go. It’s is extremely intuitive and works very well.
@THLR can correct or educate on the initial design reasons, however the windage being so far from center does a couple things: with the bottom post you do not need windage to bracket. It greatly opens the FOV up- the reticle visually feels like there is nothing in your way of the target (read what he wrote above about vision).

And yes- 1.5 mils is enough. People do not hold on the reticle for elevation in real life- you dial elevation and hold wind.
