August on Kodiak

Good morning, I am thinking about doing an August Alpine deer hunt on Kodiak. I have been to Kodiak before for goats later in the year, but have never seen many deer. I am looking for an area to fly into that has access to large alpine area. Would anyone that has had experience with hunting Kodiak in August care to share any of the high alpine lakes they have flown into and what the area around it was like? I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks.

I know it, I lived up there for the past 7 years and have certainly experienced that first hand. I try to help out people wherever I can and since Kodiak isn’t one of those places that most people frequent every year, especially for an alpine blacktail hunt, I was hoping someone would be willing to share their experience.
