Would you buy this scope?

My pics are an exact match including the arrow style, the up on the housing and the style of turret knurling. Its not tract.

Do tell.

I posted these quite a few pages back, not exact font (tail of T has slight difference) but it’s the closest on the market.

They remind me more of Delta turrets, the top slot and knurling is somewhat similar.

Not tract unless there randomly is a company who's text and general layout matchs the prototypes. That company also have capped turrets that match the coin slot style turrets of the prototype also.

That's a prototype. You think things can't change? Do you think that a manufacturer /marketer can't update their font or change the design of a scope to suit something? Tract already has several different turret styles between their lines..

I don't think any scope company that doesn't do their own manufacturing makes their prototypes. They send the specs and the OEM turns out prototype.

Aren’t pre-selling and “container inventory” mutually exclusive terms? Legitimate question. Why would you need to pre sell if you already had the inventory?

If this were a thing, I’d actually be ok with it. You’d be buying a unit that actually exists somewhere (warehouse, container,etc.).

But preselling to fund R and D or production makes no sense to me. At least not from the viewpoint of the consumer. I’m not willfully assuming business risk passed off onto me as a consumer.

Yes they are, its dumb to accuse them of pre selling to fund R&D when it’s literally being build and or crossing a sea being shipped to states. It’s already a developed product.

Selling out production before its sets in a warehouse being hit with tax and additional cost factors isn’t a new idea. I’m sure putting a deposit down on a Raptor bronco, Etc isnt fraudulent on Ford’s part….. but it is according to you, or does Ford get a pass?

Again a company pre-selling out order isn’t fraudulent, nor is it funding R&D, it’s simply allowing the public an opportunity to pre-buy limited inventory.

Kuiu built a direct to consumer empire on this model, Outdoor vitals is doing the same, are they, ford and ram fraudulent?

Pretty simple concept, don’t buy and hope you end up not liking the product anyways, as introduction is usually limited quantities until market dictates a longer term production opportunity.

In a lot of cases, as a company you are essentially buying out production space in an over seas MFG. you could order 1000 units but that doesn’t mean you will get 1000 units, you may only get 500.

I just don’t see the issue you have with pre-selling or deposits on a product. I guess you enjoy 100%+ mark ups at retailers vs direct to consumer

Just know most production over seas is a year from order to delivery. Fact LOH is only 6 months is impressed

I don’t fall head over heels for buzzy new stuff. The vast majority of this new pre-sale bs is to fund production, limit liability, and save on interest. If the customer is on the hook from the get, you have zero exposure if it goes sideways.

That's all they're doing is cash-poor companies trying to avoid taking out loans to fund their own business.

Theres no way a oem would send another companies text and layout to another scope companies as a prototype if that company already has there own text and font. They would use there already existing font and layout for the prototype especially where the font size is in question. The oem might make them all but the company specs what they want and ask the oem if they can do it.

Do you think its more likely Tract than the company that makes the scope I posted pictures of?
