Ya think I'm gonna stay with the MW. wouldn't mind it being in the new color though.. $210 is hard to pass on..

What is this $210 you speak of? Edit - Nevermind, I see the MW ranger green for $210 on the site.

Coming from a Exo owner - how would you guys compress meat to the frame with these bags like done on an EXO? Considering a reckoning bag for a hunter frame I have coming and would prefer to not have to crank the bag down as hard to hold meat in place on load shelf.

Real similar to exo. I have both frames and it should work about the same. Aron and the K crew should have vids up in the next few days and I'm sure they will go over that.

Ok so I have no idea how the Exo works. But you can buy a K clip compression kit that would give you 2 compression straps you could attach to the frame and just hold the meat so you don't have to use just the bag.

i see in this post and others some are seeing dicounted MW and other bags , why am i not seeing this
MW is $284 in my cart

the woodsman looks nice,i really like the back panel for the hydro blader, quick and easy. The thing i dont like is these buckles over the zipper, why they doesnt put them just few inches after the zippers?

Look at the pictures online the buckles are adjustable, and are located to the side of the zipper.

So the woodsman looks like a tahr with a center zip is that what it looks like to you? Same size. If so that will be sweet. Looks great just wish it had the built in side pockets too then it might be the perfect whitetail pack for me.

Yea that was my thought on the woodsman too. My Personal opinion that being able to put side pockets on the woodsman and run the compression straps behind them and still use the pockets without having to undo straps is pretty nice

Now that you say that and looking again the zipper takes away the ability to run my organizer pocket and medium pocket on the front so I could run those on one side and a spotting scope or medium pocket on the other and that would get me what I need.

Is the woodsman like the reckoning in that the roll top adds 25% to the capacity so it's max is 3400 CI but it will do 2700 with the lid folded?

I run my Tahr on a 26" frame with no issues. Fits great.

Yep. I ask because when you run bags meant for the 22" frame on larger frames you have a nice gap under the bag for a pad or pocket.

I'm trying to get a handle on the size of the reckoning. Comparing it to the DT2, DT1, markhor and argali.

Close to pulling the trigger on the reckoning! Really liking the Woodsman, as said above wish they would have sewn in the side pockets.

I checked and it is fairly flush maybe 1" gap at bottom on my 26" duplex.

The woodsman "spec" page on kifaru.net should explain that like the reckoning does.
From kifaru.net:
Reckoning main bag w/ lid folded- 5000ci
Reckoning main bag w/ lid extended - 6500ci
Reckoning side pockets- 500ci/each

So is it fair to say the reckoning can be 6500+500+500=7500ci total w/out lid?

No I was telling you there is a gap and not flush. Here are pictures of a tahr on a 24" frame (http://www.rokslide.com/forums/backpacks/41010-tahr-24-frame-pics.html#post445115)
