The Reckoning is replacing my old T-2, should be perfect! kind of like a mutated T-2 on steroids.

Do they have an eta on shipping these? Curious if anyone will be able to field them this year.

I haven't tried on kifaru packs but the advantage is access. Usually you zip from top or bottom. Allows you to get you stuff at different parts of the pack without unloading like you have to with a top loader.

Disadvantage is it is a potential failure point and you either eliminate the ability to hang a pouch or gear on the outside or you just cover up,the zipper and lose the capability. It also adds a modest amount of weight and of course the pack has to be designed around it.

I think the EXO setup is ideal with the zipper on the side of the front panel. Allows for access and the front pocket or a place to add pouches if not going front pocket route.

Having used the Exo style and an eberlestock front panel loader I can say that I much prefer the fullopening style, I sometimes feels like I'm performing key-hole surgery when I'm fishing around for stuff in the exo, it's better than no front access but not the ideal for me

I received my ranger green items today. The color is much more brown than green. Even next to coyote brown it looks like dark brown.

Got a shipment notification a little while ago. Looks like the Woodsman may be on its way.

Just got mine in. Will post some pics later tonight with it on the frame and a highlander pouch or lid on it I put a spotting scope pocket on one side.

One thing that is truly odd is the zippers meet in the middle not on both ends weird

I like it. That way you can zip up from the bottom to access just the bottom of the pack or down from the top always without having to zip both up or both down depending on where you want to start. They function independent and I like that personally.
