A couple of days backpacking with my wife and Tiny Elvis, 14 miles (2700')- with a 30-ish lb pack; I try to keep my wife's pack at 10 lbs or under. She has a much better time with a lighter pack and when she's having a better time, I'm having a better time :D

4 miles with a 20lb pack. Was able to keep a 4mph pace. On the road
4.5 miles 600'

First 95 degree day and it's not summer yet. They say the heat and humidity in the south is equivalent to training in the higher altitudes out west. I've got no choice but to believe whoever "they" are coming to this conclusion.
Really hope there is something to that. It's HOT in GA

Been out of pocket a couple days. Quick circuit today.
3 warm up sets, then 4 working sets
DB Incline Bench- 50s x 15
DB Curls- 25s x 10
Push Up- x 15
Sternum Pull Up- x 10
No set rest, but I did 5, slow tempo, active recovery DB Squats with 25s in between sets

I went from 114 to the 30s, I’ll be home tomorrow and will have several days off to get back on routine
