Went out with the oldest and did 7mi and 1500vert on a pretty nice day.

Actually went looking for whitetail. WT have always been pretty safe around me. Goes for horn hunting too. Last time my boy went out he picked up 3 sets and 2 singles with the one set being a huge 165+ 6x6. Today with me… not 1 horn. Pleasant hiking conditions though.

Easiest way to tell you Western guys from those of us east of the Mississippi. You count sides, we add em all up. Wife congratulated me on my 11 point elk this year 🤣

I've been busy since Wednesday working on the truck, and catching up on things round here the wife needed done at home.

I've got a challenge trip coming up the wife will drop me off for Tuesday morning, so I've not done much.

Push ups, squats, lunges, sit ups, tib bar, and pull ups yesterday. Scouted some Arkansas turkeys
this beautiful Easter morning, and got in 5.5 miles and 900'.

Guess G&F have been after the hogs on NF.

Everybody loves to use their gear… today the wife and I headed to a logistically challenging spot. We UTVed up until we got stuck, then we snowshoed 3mi and hit the patch of timber we wanted to hike down. I glassed up quite a few mule deer with the big binos. Then we hiked/snowshoed back out.

7mi and 900vert with 25lbs.

Our youngest had a good day with his buddy and found a few horns and 2 deadhead deer. Oldest is still out of pocket.

Yesterday got in 2 miles with the dogs, then upper body strength training.
4 sets of 5 BP
4 sets of 5 BB bent over rows
Pull ups
OH shoulder press
Then some core work

Then today I started using a workout routine on my running app, that prepares you, or is supposed to prepare you for a half marathon. Today was 30 minutes of interval running, 4 minutes of running at a good steady pace, then 1 minute of walking. Followed that up with 50 push ups and 50 KB swings.

Side to Side Plyo Push Ups on med ball x 8
Power Curls- 45 x 5

Bench- singles from 195-245, straight to…
3 sets, no rest. Went lighter/quicker
Bench- 135 x 20/18/16
Preacher Curl- 65 x 12

3 sets Wrist Curls- 65 x 12

Wife and I will do a 700vert hike with 30lbs this afternoon/evening
