four miles snowshoeing; that's not a typo - I had planned a 12-ish mile trip w/ the possibility of some snow shoeing; at the trailhead there was 12-14" of snow, a mile or so up 2 feet! sadly it was crusted over and I was postholing every single step and I knew it was going to get better, so bagged it about 2 miles in
1) 3x2 power snatch + snatch balance + OHS
2) 2 power snatch (not touch and go)

Got run out of our hunting area because of the fire. Hunted closer to the Anaconda side, no elk on the ground. But, overall the hunting was pretty good.
Was nice to see the snow.
Got sick and tired of seeing the sun look like this.
On a side note, they were re-routing CDT hikers close to our camp because of the fires. I had no clue that many people hiked that darn thing.
sounds like lots of September plans changed or even worse canceled this fall, northwest corner of the state still hasn't seen the moisture we have, might be coming so for them (fingers crossed)- it's been one long summer to be sure
