I spent 9 1/2 hours in a treestand without seeing a deer (toughest workout of the year), then this guy came in trailing a bunch of does. He won't make any record books, but he's a pretty decent buck for the area.

I hiked 8 miles yesterday looking to fill an antlerless deer tag, saw 8 deer, only 2 of them gave me a chance for a shot, both bucks.

Got in about 20 miles and some decent elevation Thursday through Saturday chasing high country blacktails. Got to full draw on a good buck but I waited for a better angle and never got it.

10 miles hiking yesterday. Saw 8 deer. My best chance was at a nice buck again. Had a doe at 80 yards standing, but I didn't like the angle. I think I need to slow down.
