Does anyone know when or how applicants will be notified of drawing success or failure?
The DNR website says results will be posted on applicants go wild account and person can start hunting once tags are printed. Season starts Monday.

Reading through the regs is says a legal bait is:

"Bait that does not contain animal parts, animal by-products other than liquid scents"

It goes on to say you are limited to 10 gallons and other restrictions about how it is to be placed. School me here, the only time I have ever known wolves to come to bait, ie bear baits, the bait was mostly meat. So, 10 gallons of what? What could a person bait with and be legal?

Here’s a couple ideas of non- meat bait...
Apple topping, wonder glaze white icing, peach topping (cubed peaches), custard (runny), pure white sugar, apple filling pouches, fruit snacks, liquid smoke, fryer grease, lemon filling, orange & glossy frosting, weatherproof candies, licorice, cherry pie filling, cream cheese frosting, caramel bun smear, strawberry cream, Bavarian and strawberry cream, peanut butter, cookie dough, whole mixed cookies, cream filled sugar wafers, pretzels, boysenberry fruit filling, sticky granola, dry granola, sugar cones, brown sugar, Andes candies, marshmallow ripple, butterscotch ripple, butter creme, circus peanuts, cashews, almonds, craisins, sunflower seeds, blueberry pie filling, raspberry pie filling, Cinnabon cinnamon sugar, dates, dried appricots and peaches, and strawberry preserves.

I had a Wi bear tag last fall, and wolves alway came to one bait in particular. Bait was expired cookies. I assumed they were frequenting the area because other critters would hit the bait after the lid was knocked off. They did eat some cookies tho!

I see my GoWild account has been updated and I now have 3 preference points for wolf, and no tag. According to the banner, I was not awarded a tag. There must have been a lot of people with 2 or more points. I didn't know there were that many more, I have bought an application every year it was offered.

Did anyone else draw?

I know a few people who got the tag. We are in Price County aka wolf center, guys who bear hunt likely all put in. Try howling near sign where u can get vantage.... or trapping with a scent post set they run trails and roads marking territory this time of year. The houndsmen will be running those fuckers

I had one point and didn’t get a tag. Still shows I have one point...

Good hunting to all who got tags. Back in November my deer hunting area (Bayfield County) had a pack of four wolf tracks running through it. One set was well larger than the others. There are plenty out there.
