Given Tikka barrels are cold hammer forged, different twist rates require new mandrels.

If they also hammer forge the chamber, than new chamberings also require entirely new mandrels.

So, I'm willing to bet tooling costs make it more expensive for Tikka to make changes than it is for many manufacturers. They already don't appear to be keeping up with demand, so I cannot blame them for being slow to invest in changes.

At this point wait for shot show but an 8 twist 243 can do everything a 6CM can do and more if you handload. If you don’t handload then you are semi-SOL.

I remember Shot Show footage from last year with the Tikka rep confirming 6 Creed is coming soon... if it hasn't happened yet I'd say it ain't happenin.

Especially considering they launched 7PRC like immediately (when they still offer 7 Rem Mag), but won't produce 6 Creed to update .243... so disappointing.

It took a year after they announced the 7prc for it to actually become available. So 6cm.is likely to be available after the upcoming SHOT show
