Never give someone you don’t know power or authority over you.

Never do friends/family to an unknown. I’d rather spends hundreds more to a name brand seller w a warranty.

Just saying. Aint worth the risk of some small-time greedy seller.

I see nothing wrong accepting G&S or F&F depending on the agreement of both party. You can easily pass if you don't feel comfortable with the deal or notice anything sketchy. G&S protects buyers while F&F protects sellers. I've been buying and selling on other platforms with tons of positive feedbacks and I see no reason having issues dealing with a well established seller with great feedbacks

I have. Just sold something to someone who i sold a fairly expensive item to last year. Had multiple text conversations with him, offered to video call to verify. Still would only do the transaction G&S. I had to chuckle…did your gear not show up last time??

I had someone who I literally sent a $100+ piece of gear to for free a year prior ask for G&S on an item they bought.

What do you do when you trade? Have a major negotiation over who is going to ship first so you get some "protection"?

I’ve traded before, and I’m actually am in the middle of doing another trade. It’s purely the honor system. Do some due diligence on the party you’re trading with and hope for the best. Take pictures of items, make a phone call, send tracking, say a prayer.

I would never trade anything, or buy anything without some kind of ‘extra step’ in verifying and with a higher value that I’d be ‘ok’ losing. Yes, no one wants to lose anything, but if I get screwed over on something for $100, I’m not going to lose sleep over it.

Exactly. I have done a couple of trades on here. I even did a 3 way trade. We all shipped the stuff and received the stuff. It was all good. Nobody was shittin' peach pits over whether they where gonna get their stuff.

I'm older than most people on here. I didn't grow up in the electronic, constant contact, bombardment of info, OMG everything is out to get me age. When I was a kid we had 3 tv channels, encyclopedias, and dial phones, no internet, no computers. We didn't learn to worry because we didn't have the inputs to cause it.

I remember as a kid about 7 or 8 I sent a bunch of labels from cans of Jolly Green Giant corn in to get a giant Jolly Green Giant kite. It took 2 months or more for it to come in. I would check every day to see if it came in. When it did it was the most marvelous kite I had ever seen. It was taller than me, or at least I remember it being that tall. It was a beast in the air. It seemed like people in the next state could see it or the local AFB could pick it up on radar. 8 or 10 weeks never knowing what day it would show up.

No idea why I think this applies to this thread but I still remember that kite in all it's magnificence.

I don’t have much to add as it’s already been said. As a seller, GS could lead to you being screwed should the buyer say they didn’t receive the item. Do your research, check feedback, ask for a video call showing the item.
