Why a carbon wrapped barrel?

Just because it's CF, doesn't mean it's light...9.5 lbs as it sits there (24 ounce optic, 3 ounce rings).

Agreed that is why I like them get the thick barrel contour for standard barrel weight. A Pencil barrel will weigh less.
