Who's Moose Hunting Alaska 2022?!?

Off she goes. Gear is on a plane to the village this evening. Two totes of belly warmer (tips) for the crew and the rest is hunt gear. Just gotta bring optics, weapon, and a few clothing items. Best of luck everyone! THICK fog at the house this morning and the leaves are turning, feels like moose time!D29BAEF7-BAFA-4AC0-A861-8B8679ABC636.jpeg

Here's hoping everyone has fine adventures and great stories to tell next winter.

Shooting the longbow 2x a day now. Everything coming together. Working down a punch-list of things to do before departure. Thankfully my surgically repaired knee feels good, and I'm hopeful it stays that way.

I can see the airstrip ahead looking over the pilot's shoulder. I can already smell freshly split spruce and a sulfur match.....

Departure time is coming up quickly!

I’m grateful for all of the helpful information and experiences shared by the good folks of this Forum.

My son and I are making this adventure together, which means I already feel successful to have that great pleasure.

May everyone of you Intrepid Adventurers find your own success, and have fun along the way!

Safe Travels, and come back with great stories.. I for one, will be interested in reading all about them.

Big time Alaska Guide (that's in jest, the rest in sincerity) here, please remember the Rokslide Code of Ethics when discussing units/areas. May seem like no one else hunts it, but even if it is a hunt of a lifetime for you, it certainly could be someones annual haunt.
