Which Nightforce Scope?

Had ATACR 5-25 F1, NX8 2.5-20 F1 and now NX8 4-32 F1 it is my favorite. lighter than the ATACR, the eye piece doesn’t rotate, glass is good. The 2.5-20 was nice but slightly harder to get behind than the 4-32, almost the same weight. Mil-c reticle is my favorite

No love for the SHV? $900 for the 5 x 20 x 56 Europtics. I absoLUTEly love mine. One on 6.5 and one on 300WM. I have never seen a scope do so well in low light. I don’t look through the super high dollar scopes. Don’t want to know. I’ve been using the SHV for 6 or 8 years now and could not be happier.
Absolutely you do NOT want to know. SHV is reliable, but glass is no better than a $300 in hand Burris...probably not as good. I couldn't stomach SHV glass for the price long enough to say for sure.

That is complete nonsense.
So if I told you specifically that I had a $1100 4-14x56 shv and $300 3-12x56 Burris Fullfield iv in the same stand at 15-45 minutes after sunset with zero moon looking at deer 125 yards away and I couldn't tell any difference it would be complete nonsense?
Heck I really couldn't tell any difference swapping back and forth for the 4 hours I was in the stand.
I definitely saw a difference between my Leicas and the SHV.

The resolution differences between those are objectively different. “Brightness” may be a small difference, but resolution is not.

NX8 imo, they’ve become maybe my fav overall scopes and that’s saying something. They seem to check more boxes than most scopes and just work. Great size as well which is one of those boxes.

I have one SHV 5-20x56 and 3 NX8 4-32x50s MIL-XTs and are actually worth the 30% higher cost.
