When Is Your Elk Opener?

Whether Bow or Rifle Elk Hunt what is your start date, this includes driving time which is a big part of the big picture! (grin)

Mine starts Aug 30th in Idaho then I leave on Sept. 8th for an AZ elk hunt, both bow hunts.

Sept 1 for archery, Nov 1 for rifle in my area. Some areas up north of me open Sept 17th for rifle.
I’ll be out Sept 2nd chasing them with my bow for a week. Got the cows on the cams, but no bulls yet. They must be up higher.

Mine is Colorado Archery. I’ll be there on August 30th for a few days of scouting prior to opening day 9/2. Can’t wait.

31 days my feet should be on ID soil! We roll out from WI 6 ish 9/7. About 22 hours later we should be at camp Sept 8. 8 days.

Utah: Aug 21…….so early, but I’ll take chasing elk in the mountains any day. Follow up 4-5d for a finish on sept 22. Honestly the latest I’ve had for Utah in a while.

Colorado: sept 2-13 otc. That will be a fun one. Should get into a little bugling pre-rut action. I’ve been listening/practicing along with many of the podcasts you’ve done. Feeling good about this season.
