Very nice, how much wt. did you loose by going to the MPI stock? Also, was it just a simple action bedding to fit it, or did it require more than that?
Barrel is 23" plus a muzzle break. It's what Rifles Inc. calls their "lightweight" profile (pretty cool I could actually call them and get the build details, was built in 2000). Rifle was bought used from a Cabela's that had no idea what it was, so while not my first choice of chamberings, cost me less than a new Kimber Montana.Sevens that's a lot of Medicine in a Lightweight Rig , How long is the Barrel on that one ? and what Contour ?
I can attest to thisIn my experience, recoil isn’t really felt when shooting at an animal, but also ime, big recoil, and steep angles, = a souvenir around the eyebrow lol.
Vacrt2002 what scope is that on your Kimber in the 1st picture ? does it have a 30 mm tube ? and what's it weigh ? Nice choice in chambering on that 257AI supposed to be one of the most efficient of Ackley's wildcats and the 6mm with all the new high BC bullet's is no slouch either these day's, all you'l ever need up through Caribou /Elk with careful shot placement , Nice quiver .
