Killed my first buck with a Springfield 1903 03A3 that was made in 1918. It was my very first rifle. It sits in the safe now.
Haven't taken anything with it yet, but I inherited a 03A3 from my grandfather that I'd love to take to the stand someday.

Hunted moose this year with a sporterized Remington 03-A3....didn't kill with it, but it's a wonderful rifle. My old man's principal gun for many years is a custom 1917 Enfield in .338-.378 WBY....he's killed more moose, bear, deer , and elk with it than I can count.

Need to find me some 150gr BTs or SSTs to plunk on top of my usual M2 duplicate load.
