90gr Blackhorn 209 pushing 300gr Thor has put three elk down for me here in CO. Just remember to use regular 209 shotgun primers for Blackhorn powder. I tried the muzzleloader primers and they don't have enough ass to spark as quickly. I had multiple hangfires before I switched over.

Volume. 90gr in my powder measure. Sorry for the confusion.

I used Thor Bullets and 777 powder the last couple of years with good success.

I’m definitely looking hard at the 300 tipped Thors and a 420 no excuses for my first elk hunting bullet. 777 3fg powder to start. Accura MRX

I shot the 300gr Thor and 70 grains by weight Blackhorn out of my MRX on my December moose hunt. Worked just fine.
