Get my son out on his first high country back pack hunt and get him up to taking small game with a 22.

And seeing as we have year round seasons available here..... just hunt a whole lot more than I did last year. And fishing, up the fishing game a bit.

Get back in the shape i should be in, so loose 50+ lbs by my first sheep hunt in the yukon Aug 26th. (30 down so far).
Start the year with a successful youth turkey hunt with about 30 kids we will take. Then have fun chasing birds myself. Have good hints for deer here in Wi and Ks. Get the dog out a lot chasing birds. And maybe get lucky and draw a great tag for the West

I have three goals:

1. Buy a hunting rifle and become proficient with it
2. Get the blacktail that I didn’t connect with last year.
3. Hunt elk for the first time and connect with one.

1. Be in shape for the Fall.
2. Backcountry hunt with my father...he's 72 so this will be a horse drop camp.
3. Finally tag out on a mule deer.
4. Take some time to enjoy it all.

I’ve got a pretty ambitious set of goals for 2019.
Get myself in good enough shape to stand 1/2 a chance of accomplishing these goals.
Be confident enough with my bow to push my comfort zone a lot closer to 60yds
Fill 2 deer tags this season at least 1 archery
Be comfortable enough with my new rifle to undertake a pack in hunt
Find a local place to hunt so that it not this season next season I’ll be able to show my son a whole dead buck. He’ll be 3 middle of October.
Break my buddy’s dry spell
Start building my preference points
Arguably the most important accomplish all of this without spending so much time away from my wife and kid that it leaves a bad taste in there mouth

Primarily to hunt more and work less. Get serious about backcountry hunting instead of my same old spots that never produce. Kicking it off with spring bear in Idaho in May, deer season here in California, then maybe wrap it up with a cow elk hunt somewhere at the end of the year.

Draw and fill an OR spring bear tag.

Burn my max elk points in WY and turn that into a 325" bull.

Take my young son on his first hunts - be it deer or waterfowl.
