Would you say the Pro line is worth it over the Hell's Canyon Line?

Paying a premium functionally for a stiffer/lighter carbon stock over the duratouch flexible plastic one. It's personal preference on how important that is to you. Might come into play with POI shift from loading a bipod vs off a tripod or pack, but pretty damn hard to quantify.

I would be interested in upgrading my tupperware one (stainless stalker) for a carbon one if they sold them separately. I actually have a laminated wood one sitting on the shelf that is stiffer but haven't bothered bedding the rifle in it. That said, the tupperware one sure hasn't impeded any animal killing.

What do you mean, "more reliable"?

I have had 2 leupold a in the last 3 years fail on me. The last one was a VX6HD, it would dial out to any yardage just fine but when I dial back to my zero I’d be anywhere from 4-8” low every time. I sent both scopes in and they fixed them and sent them back in a timely manner but I’m not spending that kind of money to send things back for repair. So I went with a optic that is known for its reliability. Just my experiences, not bashing anyone.

Reviving an old thread a bit, but was wondering if you (or any other pro owners) have upgraded or successfully modified the trigger/spring to reduce the break poundage?

I installed MCarbo springs in both my HC Speed and Max Long Range. Both break at 2.5 lbs. I have a Timmney and installed in my HC Speed. It doesn't allow for the bolt lock and I didn't like the skinny trigger. Broke nice at 2 lbs. Tried to install in my Max Long Range and didn't fit. Seems like there is a little lip on the Max and the trigger wouldn't slide into place. I most likely could have filed it down, but the spring change felt great.

Right on, thanks for the info. I am close to purchasing the X-bolt Pro and was looking at the MCarbo as an quick/easy improvement, but from the research I've done (albeit limited) it doesn't sound like it is an option for the Pro.
