Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed, 7 PRC Field Evaluation

I wish Browning had left the trigger alone as I love XBolts, their locking bolt feature and the ability to get the trigger down to 2 lbs. I've gotten used to custom guns with 12 ounce to 2 lb triggers so 3 lbs is just too much.

My brother in law installed a Timney in his Bolt II but it deleted the locking bolt feature. I will buy an XBolt II if there's an economical way to get their trigger adjusted to 2 lbs.
JARD has replacement triggers that keep the bolt unlock feature. They list several pull weight options from less than a pound to 3 lbs so it doesn't look like this is an adjustable trigger and $215 may not be what you consider "economical".

As an update, my XB2 pulls very consistently now at 2.6lb without the trigger adjustment screw or tension spring in. I also prefer lighter but I'm happy with this setting.

Thank you! I love XBolts so much $215 may very well be worth it. No experience with JARD triggers. Only Jewel (break too easy) Timney, Triggertech and Bix N Andy.

Every little bit helps. With the spring out the best we could get with my bro in law's was about 3 lbs.

I got a new x-bolt II composite hunter. I backed the screw out all the way to the end and looked at the little spring. I locked the screw in place at the very end just to hold the spring in place with no pressure on it. It feels pretty nice with a crisp break and no over travel right at 2.5 lbs.
