I enjoy listening to the Jason Carter
I’ll listen to any podcast that Jason does. He’s a pretty frank guy when it comes to hunting and being successful. He did a YouTube segment with this one social media guy and said social media guy essentially said “man they just don’t grow that big of deer here” and “I just don’t have the time to put in to getting on deer like this” and Jason, in as kind of a way as he could, told him to cut the excuses. There’s people out there that prioritize their time and go get it done on big deer every year where the social media guy lives. If that’s not your priority then that’s why you ultimately aren’t always successful. It’s not because the big deer aren’t there or that there’s not enough time in the day, that’s just not your priority. If you made time to do it then you would do it.
I enjoy people like that. Not all this “I could be better but I don’t have this or that or the other thing. I should give myself a pat on the back anyway.” You could be better but you don’t put in the effort or the time. And if you don’t put in the effort or the time because you’d rather spend it raising your family then that’s a great reason, but that’s the choice you make.
Ok I’ll stop rambling.
