What guns to buy before a ban?

Technically correct, and I don't know how "gas operated" is defined within CO law, but in technical parlance gas operated is generally understood to mean that gas is being tapped off the barrel or muzzle at some point as opposed to using the force applied by gas to the case head as in blowback or recoil operation.

Which I'm pretty sure you know and are just being a bit pedantic.
Good point and I was being somewhat pedantic to illustrate what I first considered to be a poorly-defined rubric for the Colorado law, but now I wonder if this wording was fashioned with a sinister purpose in mind. Indeed, the term "gas operated" has a colloquial meaning as you stated, but I now suspect that the technical definition will be used later to ban all semi-automatic firearms in Colorado simply through the process of jurisprudence.

When the *&^% is the 2nd amendment going to be enforced?

The 2nd doesn’t get enforced by any governing body. It gets enforced by the people suing the govt when it overreaches. As it is a ‘negative right,’ indicating something the govt may NOT do, it is the people’s responsibility to sue.

DOJ can and does also sue states with things like this, including 2A issues. They're suing DC right now over its AR ban.
