What do everyone use to carry your bow in the field?

I use a bow spider on my hip belt and strap the top of my bow into the top strap of a kifaru gun bearer. Works great and is also nice to drop your bow in the bow spider and glass with no hands

Any trad hunters have solutions for longbows? Seems like the only viable option is to have a 2-piece takedown.

EDITED TO ADD: There is some steep country where I need to use both hands at times.

Montana Bow Sling is the best I’ve tried. I tried several hip belt holders but those are not really hands free and definitely not as maneuverable.

I can move the bow around with the Montana to slip around brush.

Usually in my hand, but I got a Bow Hitch to at least give me an option to use both hands when needed, and switch up carrying methods over long hikes. On the Bow Hitch, my bow bumps into my legs too much to be a true alternative to carrying in hand, but I like having the option.

No matter what, I find it annoying, but my current thought is that the ability to take a quick shot (e.g., unexpected grouse or elk) takes priority over the comfort and inaccessibility of strapping it to my pack.

If it’s shooting light and I’ve got a tag, my hand. I’ve watched guys I’m hunting with lose opportunities on more than one occasion because their bow is strapped to their pack.

Agree with hands. Too many times walk up on something unprepared. Only thing I do make sure I have in this regard is a kickstand so I can set it down every once in a while.

I carry it in my hand. All the time. If it is the middle of the day or dark out, I will sling it over my shoulder and let it rest on my backpack, using one hand to balance it.

Hands. I did get a bow talon this spring and it’s a cheap and convenient option to hang my bow off a belt or my pack if I want both hands. Very low profile/unobtrusive so it’s nice to have and doesn’t get in the way of anything.

My weapon is always in my hand or on my shoulder ready to go when I’m in the woods.
I just don’t understand the impulse to do otherwise. Since when do we humans know where and when an opportunity will arise?

I also have my bow in my hand unless its dark or just laying tracks covering ground.
I seen Corey R. had something on his belt that he was able to hang his bow from during a quick look thru his glass. Looked pretty slick but don't know what it was.

Cory has a bow hanger thingy that he uses and sells. I tried it, and then removed it the first day in the woods, it got caught on everything while I was moving around
