What did you do in the reloading room today?

Most times no….. Two of my favorite things are Bourbon and Reloading. I completely understand the dangers of mixing alcohol and firearms / reloading. I have a very strict self imposed rule. If I am going to do some reloading I have a rule of (1) 1.5 oz pour. That has lo last me all evening or as long as I am reloading. Just enough to get a nice taste of bourbon every 15 min or so. I know this is not for everyone. I know many people that like a little whiskey or baileys in their coffee for the deer stand or duck blind. I’m not one of those people, I have a strict self imposed rule of never mixing firearms and alcohol. On the other hand, I do enjoy the flavor of bourbon while I engage in one of my favorite hobbies.

I don’t generally have a glass on the bench when dropping powder, but a small pour of Scotch to sip occasionally when prepping brass is awful nice.

Nothing because my wife didn’t buy me a reloading set for Christmas

Yesterday evening I loaded 100 x 270 Winchester rounds with 130gr Speer soft points for general use. This was with IMR-4350 and used up the remainder of a pound I had on hand.

I'm especially happy about this, as I loathe working with 4350 due to the way it meters. Whatta pain in the ass...

Fire forming the Poor Man’s Magnum today (8mm/338 1942 K98 action & barrel) . Had a box of 50 yet to shoot, loaded @200 couple years back with Turk bullets I pulled down.
I did remove the Sako trigger and installed a Timney this fall.
100 have been loaded with Speer Hot Core 200 grain.
100 will be loaded with Herters 238 grain round nose once I work up a load.

I prepped some 223 brass for some short barrel (10in) 60 and 69gr TMK exploration.

Does anybody have experience/thoughts using 8208xbr or TAC with these bullets?
